Fundraising & Communications

For +15 years, I've written newsletters, annual reports, and email marketing appeals. And I've managed large institutional social media accounts, and drafted executive statements, white papers, fundraising proposals and stewardship plans.

A few quick facts:

  • I am a professional communicator. I am the Senior Advancement Communications Specialist the Morgridge Institute for Research and was previously the Assistant Dean for Communications in the College of Letters & Science at UW-Madison. 

  • I know the industry best practices. Hiring managers want to see targeted, concise, and compelling resumes and cover letters. I help my clients get there. 

  • I studied this. I double majored in English-Creative Writing and Journalism with a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies specializing in digital media. I also volunteer as a Career Mentor with the UW-Madison undergraduate career course, Taking Initiative. 

  • I love helping clients hit a career home-run. I work full-time, but I take great joy in helping clients advance their career.

When I'm not writing or reading, I can be found cruising Madison, Wis., cruising one of my bicycles or renovating our 93-year-old bungalow. I'm an avid gardener and I serve with pleasure on the Board of Directors of the FairShare CSA Coalition.
